The focus is on getting the kids acclimated to being on a river that flows both ways, as well as become familiar with boat geography, how to raise and lower the sails, how to navigate a busy river, and most importantly to empower our students to be able to enjoy sailing on the Hudson River safely and efficiently!

We introduce the kids a plethora of hidden gems along the river that they can enjoy throughout their lives.

We get kids OFF the screen and doing something REAL. All of the subjects in school have a lot more relevance if they have a practical application that is FUN!

No experience is necessary and weeks don’t have to be booked consecutively. The student to teacher ratio is 3 to 1. It is such a small program we are able to get to know our young sailors very well and adjust curriculum according to their needs.

Father Chris Berean from Saugerties who has a masters in Naval history will be teaching a 1 hour class every Wednesday.

We will have a science/ecology lab at Norrie Point once a week as well.

Cruising is limited to 18 sailors per week on 3 boats. The times are:

8:30 to 4:30 out of Kingston and

9 to 4 out of Rhinecliff.

We do an hour dock lesson each morning, pick our destination for lunch, do a short lesson then a fun activity like capture the flag or tug of war, and then sail back.

Being so physical a program, your kids will come home happy, hungry, and exhausted and be out by 8pm.
